KLEED was founded in 2016 by Carolina Guedes Cruz, a dynamic Portuguese entrepreneur who has two passions: fashion and wildlife conservation.
KLEED – the Afrikaans for robe – embraces today’s laid back chic lifestyle and its pieces are swish, casual and quirky, taking the sophisticated woman effortlessly from a day at the beach to an evening party with friends. Over fifteen years of volunteer service in conservation projects in Africa, working with everything from elephants to rhinos, convinced Carolina Guedes Cruz that her contribution to wildlife conservation should combine her two worlds – international fashion and the preservation of African wildlife. Since then, the brand has become a worldwide brand advocate for the conservation of wildlife in Africa and, more recently, in India. KLEED partners with accredited South African NGO, Saving the Survivors, donating 5% of the brand’s profits to their work of caring for injured White Rhinos, victims of highly aggressive poaching.
